“We desire to be able to welcome Jesus at Christmastime. Not in a cold manager of our heart, but in a heart full of love and humility, in a heart so pure, so immaculate, so warm with love for one another.” – St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta
By opening our hearts to one another, we also open our hearts to Jesus. One of the best ways to do this is by thinking of ways to give to others and help them experience the love of Christ. What better time than Christmas to share Jesus with others?
The following 5 Catholic causes are ways you can support this Christmas season. By giving to these causes, you are helping people throughout our diocese and world. Thank you for considering sharing your gifts and love for others through these causes.
During the Christmas season, it’s important to share the Good News with others and inspire them spread Jesus’ love to one another. One of the ways we can pass on these stories, not just during Christmas but all year long, is through On Mission.
Led by the Holy Spirit, On Mission features inspirational stories of Catholics living and exploring their faith and provides a fruitful forum for discussion and learning. The magazine and digital offerings from On Mission shares news, activities, and services relevant to the people of the Diocese of Green Bay. Gifts from generous friends like you help this publication share stories of the impact of Jesus’ love throughout northeastern Wisconsin.

As we approach the Christmas season, we often think of the people we are grateful for and how we can give back to them. Our religious brothers and sisters and diocesan priests are some of the people who have cared for us the most. They have dedicated their lives to serving us.
The religious and priests help parishioners encounter Jesus through the Eucharist. They also teach children about Jesus and inspire our young people to build a friendship with Him. Our religious and priests even serve in our hospitals, caring and praying for us in our greatest hour of need. Now, you can be there for them and thank them for their service through the Retirement Collection.
The SHARE IN THE CARE – Retirement Collection benefits the men and women religious as well as our senior diocesan priests. In thanksgiving for all that our senior diocesan priests and religious have done, please prayerfully consider giving a generous gift to the collection. Please also pray for God’s continued blessings on our diocesan priests, religious order priests, sisters, and brothers.
When we look at ways we can help others and give generously this Christmas season, we also should consider our brothers and sisters throughout the world. The World Mission Services Project Book provides a way to be the heart and hands of Christ to people in missions around the globe.
If you’re a teacher, catechist, parent, teen, faith-sharing group, parish ministry, or someone looking to serve the global Church this Christmas season, this book has a project where you can make a difference. Help our friends around the world rise above poverty and adversity by adopting a project today!

As we welcome Jesus into our hearts at Christmastime, we should look for ways to help others find Him as well, especially for our young people. One way is by sharing your gifts with Camp Tekakwitha. For more than 100 years, Camp Tekakwitha has been filled with opportunities to create deeper bonds with God and is committed to faith, friends, and fun!
Located on Loon Lake in Shawano, this camp is a sanctuary and holy space. Campers experience daily prayer, Adoration, Mass, and more as they explore God’s playground at Camp. As children build a relationship with Jesus, they make lifelong friends with other campers and enjoy activities such as sailing, campfires with s’mores, and joining in prayer. Many children would not be able to afford the full cost of Camp without your support. These lifechanging experiences at Camp Tekakwitha are possible because of generous friends like you.
