Clergy Congress Speaker Inspires Priests & Pastoral Leaders

Each year, the Diocese of Green Bay gathers our 100 priests and deacon pastoral leaders for three days of fraternity, prayer, and communion with Bishop Ricken. Held on October 7-9, 2024, in Egg Harbor, the Congress was an incredible success, giving clergy members more ways they can bring Jesus to parishioners. Thanks to a Catholic Foundation Advancing the Mission (ATM) Leadership Development Endowment grant, the 2024 Clergy Congress Speaker—Dr. Timothy O’Malley—presented to the clergy in Green Bay.

“Do Not Be Afraid”: How We Are Bringing Hope to the World

Just like Jesus and His disciples, our Diocese is answering the call of Bringing Hope to the World. Parish faith formation programs and Catholic schools help our young people find hope in a friendship with Jesus. Catholic Charities counselors offer mental health, debt management, and family counseling, helping people hear Jesus’s words: “Do not be afraid.” This and even more is made possible in our parish and our diocese because of your gift to the Bishop’s Appeal.

Meet Brady

Meet Brady: a religious education student impacted by your gift to the Bishop’s Appeal. Brady is a parishioner at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in De Pere.  He was a normal 17-year-old. He enjoyed baseball, hanging out with friends, and playing video games.  A relationship with Jesus, however, wasn’t at the top of his list.
