The Catholic Foundation will be accepting grant applications from October 1 to December 1, 2021. Each year, grants from designated funds and endowments are awarded to help meet the needs of our Catholic communities.

The Catholic Foundation awards grants from the Advancing the Mission Endowments in Evangelization, Leadership Development, and Lifelong Catechesis, as well as from the Monica Meyer Respect Life Endowment.

As the residents of Maui continue to grapple with the loss of their homes and loved ones, and move toward rebuilding their communities, they will need continued support. Our partners, Catholic Charities Hawai’i and the Hawaii Catholic Community Foundation, will continue to serve the residents of Maui through the challenges that lie ahead.

The Missionary Cooperation Appeal (MCP) helps missionary organizations around the world appeal to Catholics for financial support. In the Diocese of Green Bay, 38 groups are invited to make missionary appeals in each of our parishes.

Recently, Hurricane Ida made landfall in the United States Gulf Coast resulting in the tragic loss of life and widespread damage to people’s homes and businesses. For all who have been affected by this disaster, we pray for healing and a better tomorrow. Please know you can contribute to relief efforts.

“Thanks to the grant from the Catholic Foundation, it is all free for our Catholic school staff, our parishes and for all Curia staff who might be interested as well,” said Maximus Cabey, Child & Youth Faith Formation Director for the Diocese of Green Bay. Maximus spoke with The Compass newspaper for the Diocese about an exciting new program of instruction made available from the Catholic Foundation Advancing the Mission grant.

As Ukrainians flee their homes due to the conflict with Russia, our Catholic Relief Services (CRS) partner Caritas Poland assists Ukrainians crossing into Poland for safety. If you would like to help the people of Ukraine, please keep them in prayer during our Lenten journey. Financial support can be given directly to CRS, our USCCB partner.

The prayers and financial support of many people make a tremendous difference in the lives of our seminarians. “Remember, these men are our Hope for the Future, and we need to Help Them Today,” shares Bishop David Ricken.
