The Catholic Foundation Board of Directors has approved more than
$3.2 million in grants and distributions to support those who look for care through our parishes, Catholic schools, and other Catholic ministries here in northeastern Wisconsin.
In 2015, $441,032 will be distributed from four Advancing the Mission (ATM) endowments to help parishes evangelize, develop Church leaders, foster lifelong learning, and care for our retired priests. From 2006 – 2010, ATM raised nearly $40 million. Half of these funds went to parishes for individual needs, the other half established four endowments.
Lumen Christi raised $8 million for endowment in 1988, and today is worth $12.5 million. Over 26 years, Lumen Christi has distributed $14 million dollars, and this year we will distribute nearly $700,000 to Catholic schools, parish religious education efforts, and for scholarships to education leaders. Every parish and Catholic school in our diocese receives Lumen Christi distributions.
