The prayers and financial support of many people make a tremendous difference in the lives of our seminarians. “Remember, these men are our Hope for the Future, and we need to Help Them Today,” shares Bishop David Ricken.
Bishop Ricken ordained Fr. Patrick Costello to the priesthood on July 3, 2021. We need more men like Fr. Patrick to say “yes” to God’s call. Our goal is to increase the number of seminarians to 30 or more men studying for the Diocese by 2025. Your prayers and financial support are needed more than ever. Please join Bishop Ricken in supporting priestly vocations by making a gift to the 2021 Seminarian Collection.
“For all those who have supported the seminarians over the years through their gifts and their prayers, I would just say, ‘God bless you.’ What you have done for us is something that has lifted us up daily through our years in seminary,” shared Fr. Patrick Costello.
The annual Seminarian Collection supports men who have been called to the priesthood. Funding our vocation efforts cost about $40,000 per seminarian each year. This helps cover the cost of tuition, room and board, insurance, funding for the Vocation Office, and other expenses. Your support of the Seminarian Collection helps educate and provide needed resources for our seminarians.
This year’s Seminarian Collection begins the weekend of August 7-8. We hope you will consider making your gift today!
