The one by One campaign is strengthening parishes throughout northeastern Wisconsin. One of these parishes is St. Mary of the Seven Dolors Church in Stockbridge. For 102 years, the parish has been a space for members of the parish to worship and gather as a community.
As the second largest historical church in Calumet County, this is a scared and special space for members at St. Mary’s Parish. However, due to water damage from leaks, the church needed repairs and had to stop moisture from causing more damage.
Because of parishioners supporting the one by One campaign, St. Mary of the Seven Dolors Parish was able to begin a large tuck-pointing project and plastering project. This will allow the Church to continue being a holy, historical parish that is appreciated for years to come.
“Thankfully, with the one by One campaign, we were able to raise [funds] beyond our goal. There was enough money to do the tuck pointing. Once the moisture was no longer coming through, we could do the secondary [plastering] project,” said Jennifer Funk, office manager at St. Mary’s.
This project is another way the one by One campaign is strengthening parishes throughout northeastern Wisconsin. Together, we are sharing our gifts one by One!
