The Raising Vocations Collection supports ministries that help young people discover Jesus and accompany them on their vocation journey. The Raising Vocations Collection kicks off on August 3-4, 2024. Individuals and families will be receiving a letter from Bishop Ricken asking for their support of the 2024 Raising Vocations Collection.
In 2023, the first Raising Vocations Collection was a tremendous success. Thank you for your generosity. The Collection had nearly 6,000 individuals and families who gave more than $600,000 to support ministries such as college campus ministry, vocation fairs, the Magdalene Women’s Discernment Mass & Meal, and even more!
The Raising Vocations Collection helped send young men and women to Steubenville Youth Conferences and Blessed Carlo Acutis Youth Day. Also, the Raising Vocations Collection helped send the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh students to the SEEK Conference and even more! Your prayers and generosity have made a tremendous impact on the lives of our youth. Thank you for helping more youth say “yes” to the priesthood and religious life.
Because of your support of the Raising Vocations Collection, we are getting close to our Diocesan goal of forming 30 seminarians by 2025. We currently have 25 seminarians. Your prayers and gifts have helped us make this possible. By supporting young people at the beginning of their vocation journey, we can help them discover Jesus and open their hearts to God’s call.
Please continue to pray for more young people on their vocation journey. Included with your Raising Vocations Collection mailing, there will be two Called by Name cards. If you know someone who would be an excellent priest or religious, please fill out and return the card. Your support is a testament to the person who helped you discover Jesus. You may also fill out an online form here.
